Yahtzee History
The history of this game starts with a wealthy Canadian couple. They invented the game and played it with their friends onboard their yacht. The "yacht game" was enjoyed very much and everyone who played it wanted a copy of their own. In 1956, they approached Edward Lowe, the inventor of Bingo to produce a few game samples for gifts. Lowe liked the game, offered to buy the rights and changed the game from "Yacht" to "Yahtzee".
