EDUCATIONAL TOY - WORDS/SENTENCES - 1980'S
I cannot even begin figuring out how to find this toy. Can you help me? I'm going to describe it as best as I can recollect. I got it when I began to read, so sometime around 1981-1983. It was orange, long, perhaps rectangular. It had a groove cut out of the front lengthwise where you inserted plastic cards, (about 3 in. long, maybe an inch & a half tall?) that had either a word, or part of a word printed on them. When you were finished sliding them in, they were facing you so you could see them. You pulled a pull-string, and the machine fed them through from left to right and read you your word/sentence! Not even my sisters remember this toy, and it's been driving me crazy for the past twenty-five years! Any ideas? Thank you! (I have tried eBay and the like, but to no avail. As you can see, without knowing the toy's actual name, it isn't the easiest to describe.)
ELECTRIC CHILD'S CAR - PLUG IN
My son bought a vintage?, plug in child's electric car. Its banana shaped seat says "Apollo Mini ca" written on the base of an arrow type tower. It has a circle logo that looks like it says CF toys or LF toys. It is still new, the plastic on the seat says "Scou" and it is gold colored and has a red push button foot petal. The shape is kind of like a moon rover. Does anyone know anything about this car? I know that CF toys makes electric cars for kids today, but when did they start? How funny that it has an electric plug and cord, which would inhibit the rider as well as being dangerous as the car is all metal, even metal wheels with plastic tires. Any help, info or leads would be great!

It was a game that had a screen that would constantly loop a set of streets as if you were down town. It would only start if you turned the key. It had it's own steering wheel about 5 inches wide and had a rubber button in the middle for a horn. I do remember that it also had a gear shift for HI and LO. The outer casing was red and it took 4 D batteries. Could you help me with this? Thank you.

(you had to be within 15 or 20 feet of a utility (telephone, electric, cable, etc) for it to send the message. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PUZZLE TYPE TOY
I remember a toy I played with in elementary school about 1973(?). It was a wooden frame with various different color and size round wooden circle pieces in one end and a loaded spring-type mechanism and an arm attached to the other end holding the pieces tight. The object of the game was to pick out one of these circle pieces without moving the spring-loaded arm. If you were the one to pull the last piece out and make the arm snap closed, you lost. ICE CREAM GAME
I can't find this game / toy I used to play with when I was a kid. It may have been from late 1970's early 1980's. I remember a cylinder shaped, heavy paper or cardboard type container. Like an ice cream container. It was some type of ice cream scoop game and it had actual plastic ice cream scoops in pink, brown and off-white..(Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla) I seem to remember having to stack them onto this big cone before the timer was up or all the scoops went flying.. I don't know the name of it and I have tried searching by the description with no luck. Any info on what this may have been? Thank you!

INTERACTIVE MICKEY AND MINNIE DOLLS
Back in 2000 or 2001 I purchased talking, animated /interactive (not to each other)Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dolls for my daughter off of EBay. I have no idea how old they were when I got them, but I wouldn't think they went back further then the late 90's. Anyway, they said a whole lot of different things and also told jokes, if I remember correctly. They were part hard plastic and part stuffed and 10 to 12 inches long. I believe you squeezed both feet, both hands and also their stomach to make them talk. My daughter's dolls broke 7 or 8 years ago and I finally let them go after a few months, thinking I would just replace them on eBay or something like. I have looked and looked but have never found another one, not even a picture. I just can't believe we had the only ones in the world. (They weren't sold as a set, incidentally.) Have I totally lost my mind? Have you ever seen or heard of such a doll? If so, do you have any idea how I would go about finding one? My daughter is blind and developmentally impaired and this was one of her all time favorite doll. She gets bored with the ones that only say a few phrases. Thank you for your time. Thank you, Joan

JUMPING BEAN RACE GAME
This game I believe was in the mid to late 1950's early 60's. I thought it was called Tumblebean or something like that. You line the jumping beans up at the top of a plastic slide with lanes and than you pick up the holder and the beans tumble down the lanes and the first one at the bottom wins. Different color beans and matching circle pieces complete the game. I would like to know the name of this game. I cannot find it by typing in the name I thought it was. I saw it for sale on e-bay months ago and never wrote the name down. Please help if you know the name and company. I am guessing Milton Bradley or Parker

LAMB LOVIE
Our nanny bought my son a lamb lovie from a Hallmark Store in Northern Virginia almost exactly three years ago. You could barely tell it was a lamb, it almost looked like a teddy bear. We lost it on vacation this summer and we ordered a Dakin Lenny Lamb as a replacement, but the head is way bigger, the arms are bigger, even the blanket seems bigger. The bow on his old one was also much smaller, and everything was white. But we are wondering if it could have been an older model Dakin because of the similarities, such as the satin heart. We are heartbroken. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I purchased a statue of Creeper from "The Black Cauldron" in a Disneyland shop in 1986. I paid $400 for it at the time. MATCHBOX RACING CARS
As a child I had a double lane racing track. Operated by gravity alone. The starting gate was connected to a vice that you screwed on to a table or suchlike. It was an orange track - two single tracks I should say. You had little tongues that slid into the underside of each track end that connected the next bit. I had a loop de loop on mine and a finishing line that spun around when you went through it. Do you know who made this? Circa 1970. It may have been a Matchbox brand but I don't know if they still make this simple version. Does somebody.

MERRY GO ROUND PONY PARTY
I have been trying to replace a set that my daughter received around 1999 or 2000 which had two plastic pony figures, a girl and a boy figure and various little pieces to complete a set for jumping and dressage competitions. The merry go round opened to reveal a tack room and you could attach the ponies to the bases which made various noises: horses hooves racing, the crowd cheering, etc. It was pink and white plastic, primarily. I cannot remember the manufacturer. It was not My Little Pony. The pony figures were flatter so that the child figures could ride.

PANDA DOLL
I am looking for the name/manufacturer/etc. of a doll that I had when I was younger. It was about a foot all panda bear. It wasn't stuffed though. In it's arms, legs, and belly were horns. Similar to bicycle horns. Each arm, leg, and belly also had a different color circle sewn onto it. I'd say that circle was about 3/4 inch in diameter. The Panda also had a plastic face & skull although the head (with the exception of the face) was covered in a furry cloth. I recall that when I saw the doll in the store as a youth there was also a brown version and perhaps a grey or black version as well, but the one that I am specifically asking about was the traditional panda colors of black and white.

PLASTIC PIG FILLED WITH TINY VEGETABLES
I am wondering about a black, plastic pig (about 5 in. long or so... 3 in. high?) that I had in the early 1980's, although it may be from earlier than that. It had a door either in it's back or it's belly that opened, & was filled with tiny little brightly colored vegetables that you could remove. (I believe each vegetable was a solid color in itself.) It came from a garage sale, so if it had other pieces/parts, or was perhaps part of a bigger game, we never had all of it. The pig was great fun though! Does anyone remember this or have more information about it? Thank you!
PLASTIC SHAPES FIT TOGETHER
As a child in the 1970s I had a plastic shapes: circles, squares and rectangles of various transparent colors with indentations. PLASTIC TOY DOG -1980's
Somewhere between 1980 to 1984 I received a small, plastic, orange dog. It had a top hat on that had the word "push" on it, and when you pushed it, the eyes closed, the nose and tongue go into the face, and the ears stand up. Then, they each start to pop back out and the dog shakes (possibly was supposed to roll?) and it makes a ticking noise. On the front of the dog there was a sticker to make it look like he was wearing a tuxedo. I cherished this dog as a child and sense lost him. If anyone can give me any idea of the name of the dog, or make/model, or where they were made or used to be sold (possibly Korea) I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you! ~GKB

Also the people that went to it had metal on or in the bottom of them and there were these keys with magnets that you put under the roads and made them move from place to place. PLUSH - MYSTERY DOG
This has been bugging me for years: I received a plush dog sometime in the late 1980's or early 1990's that had, from what I remember, loose dark brown hair, long floppy ears and sat up in a typical teddy bear position. This particular toy's unique feature was that it had large blue eyes that I believe welled up with tears whenever hugged. I know there were other types of animals available in this line of crying plush toys, but the only other one I can remember is a white rabbit in an identical position as the dog and with the very same large blue eyes. What was the name of these toys and what company produced them?

PLUSH MUSICAL PULL TOY BUNNY
I purchased a plush bunny made by KIDS II CO. in the Fall of 2003. I was told it may have been discontinued. I purchased it at Target Stores. It is a large beige bunny about 12 inches roughly, its paws are holding a sun with a embroidered smile face and the name "Rae" is embroidered on the bunny's left foot. Its pull string musical box plays "You Are My Sunshine"; and it was meant to hang in a baby's crib. My three year old daughter LOVES this bunny and doesn't go anywhere without it. Its become worn and I desperately need to replace it. I have been searching for another one for over a year through eBay, Kids II online and Amazon with no luck. PLUSH SLEEPING BABY DOLL
Can you help me identify a plush sleeping baby doll I had in the late 1950's? She has a plush body with a one piece sleeper on with a flap covering her bottom that unbuttons to expose a rubber or soft plastic bottom (I think it might have speaked?) She was sleeping on her tummy and her head was turned to one side. Her head was made of rubber or soft plastic with a sleeping face and soft blond curly hair. She had a removable bonnet. My grandmother said she bough her for my crib to prop my bottle in about 1957-1958? Can you help me identify her? Mine was ruined in a flood and I would like to identify her so I can search to replace her. I have gone through hundreds of books and e-bay listings. Any help would be great. POCKET MONSTER HANDHELD GAME
I was trying to remember the name of a toy I had in the 90's that was a case in the shape of some gruesome creature that opened up to reveal a miniature world with little magnet characters inside. I believe the name has something to do with "pocket" or the main character was a kid named "Max" or something. Also, I believe that it was sort of the boy version of Polly Pocket. Help soon, I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out.

PULL STRING DOLL
I was given a pull string doll, but I cannot figure out who the doll is supposed to be. I was wondering if you could help me. The doll is of a man. He has black hair, and the front of his hair is sticking up (the hair is made of plastic, I think). He is wearing a checkered shirt. It is tan and a shade of orange. He is wearing black slacks, black socks, and black shoes. When you pull the string, he says one of three or four says. "Give me a break," "That's a pain, I must say" are a couple of the sayings. The tag on the back says 1988 and Hanna-Barbera. The eBay search came up with Woody from Toy Story and PeeWee Herman. However, it does not match any of the pictures. Based on what the doll says when the string is pulled, it is not a child's toy. Could you please help me figure out who this doll is. Thank you, Tracy
PULL STRING TALKING BEAR - GENTLE BEN -1967-1968
I have friends whose son had a medium brown colored Mattel Gentle Ben pull string talking bear that said "I'm getting sleepy" that they gave to him in 1969. His 40th birthday is coming up and they've got me hunting for one like that to give his as a surprise. It's hard to locate any of them and those that I can find are all black bears that are labeled 1967 that don't say the same thing. Does anyone recall this bear?

RACE CAR SET - GATOR ALLEY (?)
In the early 1980's, I believe Mattel made a race car set which used wind up or pull-back cars to follow a track. What made the track different was that it was made up of one wire-like piece of plastic that was bright green. You would clip the car to the track and it would follow it. For some reason I remember it being called "gator alley" but I haven't found any proof yet.

RIDE ON TOY - 1970's

RIDE ON TOY - AUTOCYCLE
I have a four-wheeled pedal vehicle that was bought in 1949 or 1950 from the Montgomery Ward toy catalog. It is tomato-soup red and has a chassis like a car (sort of), a steering wheel on a column, and has MW embossed on the hubcaps (photo available). Was it made by Schwinn and was it called an autocycle, as my dad remembers?
RIDE ON TOY - CAR
I was born in 1982 and I vaguely remember this toy car you could ride downhill that didn't have pedals or anything but did have controls and a steering wheel. I'm pretty confident it came out late 80s early 90s. Do you have any idea of what I am talking about?
RIDE ON TOY - JOHN DEERE
I have a "John Deere" like Little Tykes ride on tractor that was discontinued long ago. It belonged to my brother in the 80's and has been well loved and seriously ridden to death. The poor front tire has been worn right through, but the rest of the toy is still in great shape! I have been trying to find a wheel with peddles to replace it for about a year now, but to no avail. Can you help me track down what I need? I have already checked with Little Tykes and apparently they don't even carry parts for their products after the item is discontinued; they just mill them down to recycle them into something new. That is great, but what now? Do you think the Classic Tough Tire Trike front wheel (from the same co.) would work? They are suppose to be looking into whether they can order the part for me now or not at the moment; something about "reissued that". The other option I found most recently was the Step Two company's, Pedal Farm Tractor. They can get that part for me but it is on back order and could be six months. I'm also not sure if it will fit as all she could tell me was that it says 10" on the listing. She couldn't tell me anything about the width of the tire. What advise do you have?

STICK PEOPLE PETS
In the late 1970's or early 1980's, I remember seeing a "toy" in a toy store that was similar to the Cube People being sold today. It was a stick figure on an electronic screen (like a computer screen) that lived in a multi-story house. The figure would go about living in his house, eating, sleeping, watching television, using the bathroom, etc. etc. Interaction by the human "owner" was needed to make sure that the stick figure's pantry was always stocked with food. If the stick figure were to go hungry or to become ill, he would turn colors. That was a sign to the \"owner\" that he needed to pay some attention to his stick figure pet. Does anyone remember this toy and know what it was called?
